Eric is an ambitious entrepreneur who creates strategic alliances with organization leaders to effectively align with and support key business initiatives. Builds and retains high performance teams by hiring, developing and motivating skilled professionals.
Eric handles all functions related to putting together a team of professionals to foresee that the annual event is delivered to its optimum standards, hosting between 20 to 25 delegations from all over the world. He is the driving force of the Organisation.
In the last eleven years he has taken the event to Canada, Norway, Philippines, Belgium, Italy, Malta, Spain and four times in South Africa. Without the help of the Vice President, John Louis O’Neil, Eric and the Mr Gay World competition would not have made it to its eleventh year.

Johann van Niekerk is an IT manager at a company based in Pretoria, South Africa. Most of his time at work is divided between assisting
customers, meetings and as a technocrat he tries to stay up to date with technology and trends that use technology in everyday life and finding
methods to bring that usage back into the corporate environment.
He grew up in Johannesburg and Cape Town and is currently based in Pretoria. Johann likes to travel and visit new places and he has backpacked through North America and Western Europe and has also spend time traveling and working in Europe and Africa on occasion.
He enjoys going to the movies, outdoor life, and being in the company of friends. He has been involved behind the scenes with events such as Mr Gay World South Africa, Mr Gay World and the annual Pink Loerie Mardi Gras and Arts Festival in Knysna, since 2009, helping and assisting where needed.
One of his motto’s that he likes to share is: “Experience is what you get when you do not get what you want”
